Peruvian Invasion
As some of you know, last week Lucas Valley was invaded by a group of 14 Peruvian tennis players. All were invited by Carlos Lamas-Babbini, and a group of us played a mini-tournament with them for a whole day. We got some cool t-shirts too.
The day was followed by a potluck at which we all got to know each other. And Robert drank half a bottle of Pisco to very disasterous results. Mira and Robert hope they met some new friends that they’ll see again someday. Here’s some photos.
Having a Bad Day?
Thomas “Woody” Price had a very bad day last Friday.
Whenever I have a bad day, I recall Ronald Wayne, who, on April 12, 1976 sold his 10% stake in Apple Computer for $800. If he had managed to keep it, that stake would currently be worth $59,555,000,000.

Today in Marin
Whew. Glad this doesn’t happen at our school . . .
FYI: Branson is the fanciest high school in Marin. And that means it’s pretty fancy.

A headmaster of a prestigious Bay Area school resigns in disgrace. Thomas “Woody” Price of the Branson School in Marin County submitted his resignation following his arrest on felony drug charges. The school community in Ross and the rest of Marin are in shock.
This isn’t just any school. This is the Branson School — a small, exclusive, private high school where the news of their headmaster spread fast.
Deputies say they found Price in a Sacramento County motel room Friday with large amounts of drugs including heroin, meth and cocaine. Deputies say they also found a woman passed out, 21-year-old Brittney Hall of Elk Grove. It was her boyfriend who tipped authorities that Hall and Price were together doing drugs.
