Today whole Pierce family stayed home, relaxing as much as possible and preparing for our Christmas day party tomorrow when we host the Schwirtz’s at our home. Mira and Robert have each had a bit of a cold, and Rory of course is keeping up with the runny nose he’s had for the last few months.

Robert and Rory took a long walk this morning, all the way to Mission and 26th Street, where they went to the market and bought all the ingredients for the tortilla soup that Robert made tonight for dinner. Rory rode on Robert’s back in a kiddie backpack. The walk home was arduous.

The cleaning ladies showed up to clean the house, which was great because the refrigerator was in such need of a clean-up. Looks like we are all set for tomorrow.
