We just returned from our summer vacation at Echo Lakes, California. We stayed at a small chalet, took boat rides, hiked, saw a llama and snow, got bit by mosquitos and didn’t flush down urine alone.

Echo Lakes are near South Lake Tahoe, on the Pacific Crest Trail. So one of the highlights was chatting with all the hikers who stop at the general store there to collect mail during their 2600 mile journey from Mexico to Canada.
