Last night we went out with the Friedmans for a quick dinner followed by a movie. We suggested the outing and thought it would be adventurous to see Made in USA, a 1966 French film by Jean-Luc Goddard not seen in the US until now. As it turned out, the movie was completely juvenile and utter nonsense. Maybe there were some important socio-political comments being made, but we certainly didn’t understand them. We walked out after about 1/2 hour.
We do recommend Chow restaurant in the Castro. The food is very good and they even let us come back for a drink after our ill-fated cinematic digression.
